MORTON Club Together today announces the appointment of Graham McLennan and George Wall as co-chairs.
The two board members take on their new role with immediate effect, and associate director Stuart Duncan has also been appointed as MCT company secretary.
Meanwhile MCT will shortly be appointing a treasurer.
These steps are the latest stage in the ongoing fundamental work being carried out to strengthen the organisation.
They follow the recent addition of new directors to the board and the establishment of the operational team.
Graham McLennan said: "Having co-chairs is built on the simple basis that two heads are better than one. The board believes that this will help MCT strengthen further as we focus our efforts and resources on the priorities of members."
George Wall added: "As co-chairs we will work closely together to efficiently and effectively share the responsibilities of leading Morton Club Together on behalf of members, bearing in mind that MCT is a team."
Appointed by the board, the co-chairs will champion MCT and the club's ambitions and objectives.
They will work to ensure a formal two-way bridge is in place between the football club and MCT as its community owners, via the respective boards, and will sustain positive working relationships.
At MCT board level the new co-chairs will be key facilitators by listening, encouraging healthy debate, supporting focus, helping prioritisation, delivering good decision-making and ensuring efficient working.
They will also act as ambassadors for MCT, developing strong partnerships with key stakeholders, members and the wider community.
