Members and fans may remember when MCT took ownership of the club that GMFC Property was created. This company was created to ensure that Cappielow remains protected and owned by us, MCT and its members, should the club ever come into financial difficulty. GMFC Property also holds the approximate 90% of shares that owns the football club and GMFC Property is wholly owned by MCT, thus being the vehicle for the club to be community owned.
GMFC Property's directors since its inception have been Gordon Ritchie and Stewart Farmer. While they are MCT representatives on the GMFC board, they are no longer directors of MCT. We felt it was vital to have a current MCT director majority on the GMFC Property board of directors, so changes have been submitted and accepted by Companies House.
Stewart Farmer's resignation has been accepted, and David McCluskey and Brian Gillan have been appointed as directors of GMFC Property, ensuring there is an MCT director majority.
