As we head towards the start of the 2022/23 season, the MCT board is now turning our attention to our 2022 Annual General Meeting (AGM), our first as owners of Greenock Morton Football Club. More information will be shared soon about the confirmed time and date of the AGM, our aim is to host it in either late August or early September.
There is a requirement in our articles that three of the present directors are required to stand down at this AGM. The three directors that are required to stand down are Graham McLennan, Stewart Farmer and Gordon Ritchie. Also, as we shared recently, there is a further director vacancy following the resignation of Stuart Duncan.
This means that there are four vacancies available to be filled by MCT members. Those three directors standing down can seek re-election should they wish to.
This means we want to welcome as much interest in becoming an MCT Director by our valued members as possible. Being part of MCT means that, as members and fans, you can lead and be part of the future decision making of MCT. You'll be helping us to engage with our current members, and do all we can to attract as many new members as possible.
Being an MCT Director is both rewarding and engaging, but can also be tough and time-consuming. It's an incredible opportunity to use your skills and experience to support the club in becoming the benchmark example of community ownership. In addition, the club and MCT are developing a pathway that supports MCT Directors to be able to move onto being directors of the club in future.
